HOST INSTITUTION

The International University of Rabat or IUR is a semi-public university founded in 2010 in Morocco. It delivers double-degrees, in collaboration with foreign universities, in law, engineering, aeronautics, energy engineering, architecture, business management and political sciences. The university, the first of its kind in Morocco, was created under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, of Scientific research and managerial staff Training. The UIR is committed to support major development projects in the country (energy action plan, industrial growth, aerospace, automotive, logistics, digital Morocco, sustainable development, NHDI, green Morocco...) through training, research, innovation and technology transfer.

CAREER PREPARATION

The resume enhancing benefits of performing an internship abroad can only be seen if you understand how to articulate your experiences and the skills that you have developed to address the needs of your future employer. Upon arrival, you will receive a cultural orientation to provide you with a framework for understanding your own cultural values and those of the local Moroccan culture. Our Myers-Briggs training sessions will empower you to utilize your knowledge of personality to facilitate interaction in the workplace and ultimately obtain the results you’re looking for. Finally, one of our program objectives is for you to identify the skill sets you have developed during your internship and articulate them in a resume.

Housing

As a student you will live in a Riad. Riads are large traditional houses built around a central courtyard converted, for our purposes, into a student dorm. Riads will typically house up to 15 students living in shared rooms (usually two per room), where you will receive two meals per day. The distance from your internship will depend on the placement.

Student life

You will also have access to cultural activities such as walking tours of the city, visiting monuments, and joining excursions that will allow you to meet locals and other international students from around the world. As a student you will have the opportunity to participate in various activities and an excursion to Chefchaouen, but also have the opportunity to travel independently to other location in and around Morocco and Europe.
