This unique study abroad program give you the opportunity to take the most widely-recognized course for English language instructors in the world -TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)- while immersing yourself in traditional Spanish culture in Seville, Spain. In this rigorous six-week program, you will gain the solid skills, knowledge, and hands-on teaching experience needed to be a successful English language teacher. GlobalEd’s program in Seville, Spain makes this an international experience you won’t forget with weekly activities, excellent housing placements, supportive on-site staff, and post-program career services. This intensive 6-week course is approximately 120 hours in total. Students begin teaching from day one and will be continually assessed throughout the course.

TEFL International Seville is a part of the TEFL International worldwide organization. This means that their certificate is widely recognized and job opportunities can be found all over the world! All TEFL International TESOL certificate courses fully meet British Council criteria for employment within the British Council and at British Council-accredited language schools. The TEFL International TESOL Certificate course with GlobalEd is a six-week intensive course which includes approximately 120+ hours of study and at least 8+ hours of Observed Teaching Practice and combines weekly activities, housing and a cultural immersion.



The resume enhancing benefits of performing the TEFL certification program abroad can only be seen if you understand how to articulate your experiences and the skills that you have developed to address the needs of your future employer. Upon arrival, you will receive a cultural orientation to provide you with a framework for understanding your own cultural values and those of the local Spanish culture. Our Myers-Briggs training sessions will empower you to utilize your knowledge of personality to facilitate interaction in the workplace and ultimately obtain the results you’re looking for. Finally, one of our program objectives is for you to identify the skill sets you have developed during your language certification program and articulate them in a resume.


As a student you will have different housing options to choose from to match your lifestyle. Whether students choose to live in a self-catered apartment or with a Spanish family receiving three meals per day, all students will live within a 20-35 minute walk from campus. Self-catered apartments are included in the base price of the program. For an additional fee, you may choose to live with a Spanish family which includes: a full meal plan (3 meals per day), weekly laundry and cleaning service.

Student life

All program participants will also have access to cultural activities such as walking tours of the city, visiting monuments, and joining excursions that will allow you to meet locals and other international students from around the world. As a GlobalEd student, you will also have the opportunity to participate in our programmed excursion to Granada, Spain.

Trips and Excursions

GlobalEd will coordinate an organized excursion to Granada, Spain during this program. Aside from GlobalEd's activities and excursions, students often travel independently to such destinations as:
